Abstract
Myalgia is among the most common positive muscle symptom frequently encountered by clinicians. Diffuse and localized forms of myalgia can have different causes and careful history taking, physical examination of patients will lead to accurate diagnosis. Rhabdomyolysis is a serious and life-threatening condition characterized by elevation of creatine kinase, muscle weakness, red urine. The diagnostic approach to rhabdomyolysis should depend on the accompanying symptoms and signs. It is necessary to distinguish secondary causes such as trauma or medication from primary muscle disease including metabolic myopathy. The main goal of treatment of rhabdomyolysis is prevention of complications such as acute renal failure.
